The FCC has granted approval to a CDMA variant of the HTC Hero. Running on Google's Android OS, the Hero will feature CDMA (850 / 1900) / EV-DO radios. Other features include a 5 megapixel camera, a 3.2" HVGA display, GPS, accelerometer, compass and microSD memory card slot. The HTC Hero will also make use of HTC's Sense UI.

So what carrier will releasing the CDMA HTC Hero? No announcement has been made yet, but the rumor mills are indicating it will be Sprint, although the handset would also be compatible with Verizon's network.

Robbie JardineI have noticed a slhgit performance increase which maybe have increased my battery life, maybe it's a placebo affect but either way it should be investigated
