She likes it.....
Rating:

My mom got this phone. She really likes the ruggid-ness of this phone. She's really clumbsy and drops it all of the time, and its fine! She wishes the screen was a little brighter, and it was just a tad lighter. Shes very happy overall, and would recommend to anyone

Built Tough!!!
Rating:

This one is good for the outside working man! I work outdoors with heavy machinery. This phone can take it! I keep my phone in a heavy industrial grade case. Yes, it makes it bulky and heavy, but I have been literally been covered in mud, and this phone still functioned! Later on, I washed it off in a bathroom sink and it still worked! Reception is great and it does have an extendable antenna. The screen is small and sometimes hard to read in bright sunlight. The speaker is clear and very loud! Even with the heavy case. I noticed that the military here at FT Knox are using them. Must be doing something right!!

Great Phone, Rugged but not a Brick!
Rating:

I just picked this up after being a user of the i530 and also i830. A few pros and cons:

Pros:

This phone is rugged and durable, but not as much of a brick as some. Don't get it if you want a small phone.

65 K color display, up from the 325 and other previous phones. More ringtones. Choice of three wallpaper or you can download others.

Nice speaker, volume, of course, DC/PTT

Very durable, heat, dust, shock resistant, military specs. Dropped it twice, a champ.

Buttons lit, pretty easy to use.

Good battery life.

Cons:

Large, needs belt clip or holster.

Screen hard to read in direct sun, but readable.

Screen could be a tad bigger.

Great phone! Enjoy!

One Tough Phone
Rating:

This phone has to be virtually indestructible. I've put this thing through more abuse than I can think of. Rain, road salt, snow, dust, sawdust, gasoline, grease, oil, and about every fluid you can think of except acid. I've dropped it, fallen on it, I LOST, and even show people how tough it is by throwing it. The phone won't die and it won't break.

Now, I do have two annoyances with this phone. The first is that its big and heavy. But hey, most rugged things are heavy and not very small. The second is the display is virtually impossible to read in sunlight. If you have sunglasses on, you're not reading it. Other than that, great phone.
