Motorola ACTV W450 Reviews

keeps you actv by makeing u run away from it
Rating:

had this thing for 3 days. were do i start with the issues. internet slow for one. could not sync with computer at all, where a lg phone plugged into a computer will automatically install drivers. could not easily move mp3 to the thing without going and buying motos phone tools which is way too expensive. The main reason i took the phone back is after going to bed the 2nd night i awoke to the most high pitch extremely loud squealing i have ever heard. I tracked the sound back to the phone laying on a counter top. I had to remove the battery to stop the sound. It was horrible. went and got a sony phone next day at tmobile and haven't had any of the issues i had with this.

pros-1.rugged
2.if you want to load music onto it you get to buy additional software at $40 then on top of that you get to purchase the data cable as well. (great selling point)

cons-1.please read up at the top.

alright phone
Rating:

hi =) my dad has this phone and i use it a lot. i like a phone with a lot of features so thats why i just think this phone is alright. if you need a basic phone that has a lot of space to hold contacts then this is a pretty good choice, but if you want something with more features and you have t-mobile i would HIGHLY recomend the sidekick LX, thats what i have and i absolutely LOVE it, i cant find anything wrong with it =) sorry, i kind of got off track there for a second, haha. here is my list of pros and cons for the motorola actv:

PROS: * holds 1000 contacts
* is really hard to break

CONS: * even though it holds a lot of contacts the internal memory for other media than contacts REALLY stinks
* the camera isnt that great
* like i said earlier, it doesnt have enough features for me

Well thanks for reading, i hope that helps =)

This phone is a piece of CRAP
Rating:

This phone is a piece of crap, not only doesn't it have the clock shown on the box, the sim card once placed in the phone deletes all the numbers on the sim card then deletes all the numbers out of the phone. The clock resets itself whenever it wants to and the alarm feature is also reset to random times. You can't set the correct time since the phone chooses the time zones for you. If you recharge the phone it resets itself back to factory settings. If you personalize it placing everything where you want it the phone only resets all this at random times to what it wants them to be. Now normally I wouldn't give such a bad review on a phone knowing bad ones get through even the best QC people however my cell company has replaced this phone 3 times! and each one has done the exact same things. I finally got the cell company to admit to me these were released with "software" issues, the main being the phone deletes saved sim card numbers, the cell company has since discounted selling or promoting these pieces of crap. Motorola wonders why it's lagging behind other companies, with products like this and the other junk they are releasing it's a wonder they are still in business, I will NEVER buy a Motorola phone again after having been issued a previous model at work that didn't perform well at all, combined with this newest piece of junk they are trying to pawn off on the pubic for $159-$259 I can't wait till they go out of business. I could go on and on about this phone such as how it resets any ringtoneyou pick, how your mp3's won't play or are reset if used as ringtones, but why bother save yourself a major headache and stay away from this phone. Too bad there isn't a rating lower than zero.

Very pleased
Rating:

We received 3 ACTV's for our company last week.

This phone is very well constructed
Signal is exceptional, Ringers and calls are very strong and loud, phone is slim and rugged. Since we use them on delivery trucks they were a perfect choice for us
I suggest Orange trim vs yellow as the numbers on the keypad are white and they don't contrast well on the yellow. Battery life is amazing and phone fits well in the hand and to the face. Screen could be a bit bigger and may be hard to see in direct light which sorta surprised me as this device is meant for outdoor use but colors are rich and font is clear. Every part of the phone is sealed which should reduce the likelihood of water or dust getting into it.

Buy this phone if you want a rugged, dependable, and quality phone

consider something else if you want bells and whistles.
