Motorola Moto X Pure Edition / Style Reviews

Impressive for the price
Rating:

Just received the Moto X Pure Edition yesterday and am quite pleased. It does everything I want it to do. It's fast, has a beautiful screen and is comparable to eny phone that I have ever owned. I have Verizon service and just popped in a SiM card from the current phone I had and it worked perfectly. I can't see anyone not being pleased with it. Haven't had time to play with the camera much, but what little I did was very good. And, of course, being from Motorola, it has the best voice quality.

Solid phone
Rating:

Received my Moto X Pure Edition (MXPE) 32gb 4 days ago and I've used it quite a bit since. It is a good phone with lots of features.

The Good
- Fast: Snapdragon 808 and 3gb memory
- Screen: This screen is unreal
- Size: Big but easy to handle
- Charge: Quick Charge is incredible
- Storage: A 128gb card is a ton of storage
- Sound: Speakers sound great
- Calls: Motorola has best call clarity
- Customization: Can't beat having options. I went with black front/graphite back/blue accents, 32gb, and it tells me "Hello".
- Apps: The Moto Apps are fantastic and work better than Googles.
Camera: GREAT pictures. Just GREAT.

The Bad
- Battery: Not the best, not my Note 3, but we'll see how things shake out over time. I hear it improves based on settings.

The Ugly
- NONE

I would recommend this phone to anyone. It comes with one quick charger so head to Amazon and buy another for work and a car charger and you'll be all set.

anything better?
Rating:

Not a professional but still a phone self declared phone slut (did 3 upgrades in a year). I bought this phone to step up from my M8 which had been replaced by a Z3v but came back out of the drawer because the Sony could not do Android Auto (still waiting for Android 5).

Pros
Great screen, reception and it's nice to know the phone won't die in the rain. Fast charge is nice but I do not have a problem with battery life. Part of the time this is because I tether and this charges the phone. There were a few things on the M8 that I miss but they are due in the Android 6 upgrade which is coming soon. Expandable memory is a BIG feature to me.

I have used it on Verizon with no problems and it's nice not to have a branded phone.

Cons
None to speak of but the water proof, rather than water resistant, would be nice

I really like it
Rating:

I had my share of samsungs and HTC but this one is very unique.

The screen is amazing and Google's Android with very small customization is exactly what I was looking for. In fact, I recommend everyone to do it this way.it runs extremely smooth, there's virtually no learning curve, and its customizable.

Let me explain about the customization. It is amazing. I got ordered a 64 gig moto x with black front and black leather back with red accent. This thing looks awesome. The leather doesn't feel cheap at all. I dented the leather a few times and it went back to like it wasn't there. They give me this bumper to use on it and at first I didn't like it but now I love it. I can show off my phone and protect it at the same time. It says it will take a week. Just want to let you know it doesn't take that long normally. I ordered it Tuesday night, they finished it Thursday and shipped it from china dircouldntm the manufacturer with 2 day FedEx shipping to arrive Monday morning. Perfect.

It may be made in china but I assure you that I have had alot of different phones since I used to sell them back in 2005 and even before that. The quality is not cheap. It feels very durable and proved itself several times already like the leather.

Signal is amazing good (what your expect from Motorola), screen is very clear, size is where I was concerned at first but let me put concerns to rest. I hated the size of the note 4. It was too big and I couldnt deal with it. It looked silly in my hand and was uncomfortable. When I saw this online I immediately threw my consideration away because of the screen size and waited for an xperia for Sprint or the nexus 5 2015 to be better. Neither of those happened. So I went to best buy and tried it out on my hand and it felt comfortable. It really doesn't feel like you have a 5.7 inch phone but it feels very comfortable. Test it out and you will see what I am saying.

So comfortable, I typed this all out using the phone. Hope this review helps
